Our Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Lamplighters Ministries Worship Center based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24 KJV)
He is Elohim, the creator of all thing both visible and invisible, whose omnipotence is evident throughout creation. (Gen. 1:1, 17:1,
John 1:1-3, Deut. 3:24, 32:39 KJV)
God is Omnipresent in every aspect of creation. (Gen. 28:15, Prov. 15:3, Ps. 139:7-12, Acts.17:2428 KJV)
God is Omniscient, all-seeing and knowing all things. (1 Cor.3:20,
1 John 3:20. Heb. 4:13, 16, Luke 16:15)
God manifests Himself in three distinct persons: God the Father, preeminently the Creator; God the Son, pre-eminently the Redeemer; and God the Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier. (Mat. 3:17, John 5:19,
John 14:26, Mat.3:11, Rom.15:16. 1Cor. 6:11 1 Peter 1:2 KJV)
God is unchangeable and faithful to all generations. (Mal. 3:6,
Heb. 13:8)

The Word
The Bible is our manual in which we receive helpful instruction on how to live our lives and also how to resist not only sin but the entanglements of the enemy.
God's word is eternal and the source of everything in creation.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Tim. 3:16-17KJV)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two- edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and morrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Heb 4:12 KJV)
Purpose
God's Word accomplishes what He sent it forth to do.
(Isa. 55:11 KJV)
To sustain us - Man shall not live by bread alone. (Matt.4:4 KJV)
To purify us - Sanctification is both absolute and progressive.
(Heb. 10:14,Heb. 12:14, John 15:3, John 17:17KJV)
To strengthen us - Our covenant with God. Ps. 145:18
To provide spiritual growth - 1 Peter. 2:2
To give life- John 6:63
To be our spiritual armor - Eph. 6:10-18

Salvation
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 NIV)
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Cor. 5:19 KJV)
ABC's of Salvation
Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (1 John. 5:11-12, Rom. 3:23, 6:23; 1 John.1:9)
Believe Jesus died on the cross for our sin and rose again as a payment for our sin. (John 3:16-19, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, Rom. 5:8)
Confess Jesus before men. Allow God to come in and change your life. (Mat. 16:24, Rom. 10:9-13)

Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of our inward conversion. The ordinance of baptism is a person's public profession of faith and serves as an initiatory rite of entrance into the community of faith.
(Matt. 28:19, Acts. 2: 38, 41, 22:16, 3:19
Eph 4:4-6, 1 Peter 3:21, Rom. 6:3-4, Mark 16:16)

Eph 4:4-6, 1 Peter 3:21, Rom. 6:3-4, Mark 16:16)
Communion
Why we do it?
1. To commemorate what Jesus did on our behalf. (1 Cor. 11:24-25)
2. To anticipate Jesus' return and reunion.
3. To participate and affirm our faith.
